Description
Please note that we are almost out of these, and with the high transport costs now from Italy, we probably won't be ordering any more in the future.
Raft Paddles
The Bravo Pro ($39) has a strong but fairly lightweight blade. It is not available in a full 5'6" guide paddle length, but what we stock is 5'3", which can still work as a guide paddle if you aren't sitting too high off the water at the back of your raft. This is the longest size Bravo makes. These Italian made units have beefy blades and the tempered aluminum shafts are over 1.2" in diameter. They have yellow blades, an oversize T-handle, and the coated black shafts provide a slightly more grippy surface for your hand than plastic covered paddles. Considering they aren't much more than the standard grade canoe paddles the Bravo Pro represents a good value. We do also stock the Caviness paddles in 5'6"/
Please read the information regarding the shipment of paddles on our Oar/paddle introduction page. Sending just one or two of these is very expensive, and it is best to phone us not order online.
We don't carry Carlisle's Guide Paddles anymore because there have been intermittent problems with blade breakage ever since Johnson Outdoors bought Carlisle way back. NRS claims they have not had problems in the last couple years, but we are still leary. We do carry the 5'6" length Caviness standard grade paddles, which are themselves a pretty beefy product.
